SAIBSA Job-a-like session at The British School, New Delhi

Dear colleagues,

I take immense pleasure in inviting you all for Northern India IB Diploma Programme SAIBSA Job-a-Like Session on 23rd January 2010, which will be organized by our IBDP team headed by Mr. Christian Chiarenza, the DP Coordinator. The main purpose of this session is to learn together and share ideas about the implementation of the IB subjects you teach with one another. The environment will be one of give and take: we encourage you to send teachers to share the benefits of their experience and we promise they will take away many new ideas and insights into the IBDP programme. These sessions are integral in promoting the spirit of the IBO and helping us improve our practice by making connections between IB schools and a continued commitment to professional development. We hope to see many of you here.

On this day we will work primarily in our subject areas, with four sessions divided thematically. The final session on TOK will be co-facilitated by TOK teachers to help promote the teaching of TOK across the curriculum. We are working to ensure a strong team of TOK teachers present to ensure that this session is particularly fruitful.

Please note, sessions in the following subjects will be offered:

We strongly encourage you to nominate any outstanding teachers as facilitators.

The schedule will be as below:-

We request you all to send as many teachers as possible to enhance learning by sharing.

To have a fruitful sharing we request you to bring along with you classroom resources, samples of students’ work, and examples of planning. We will be sending more details as we move forward.

Regards
Mrs. Vanita Uppal
