What is SAIBSA and what does it do?


SAIBSA stands for SOUTH ASIAN INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE SCHOOLS’ ASSOCIATION.

It is a sub-regional association of the IB Asia –Pacific region which aims to:

1. Support networking and provide communication among the International Baccalaureate schools in South Asia

2. Uphold the goals and objectives of The International Baccalaureate Organization and the International Baccalaureate Asia-Pacific (IBAP) office.

3. Work cooperatively with the IBIDG in matters of admission to colleges and universities in South Asia.

4. Provide and sponsor in-service workshops and professional development opportunities for teachers, coordinators, and administrators of International Baccalaureate schools in the region in coordination with IBAP.

5. Coordinate and sponsor activities among the students of IB schools in the region.
